Reliance Jio has announced a major expansion of its collaboration with Google, offering 18 months of free Google AI Pro access to all Jio 5G users. Previously, this offer was only available to subscribers aged 18-25. With the new move, every user on Jio’s 5G network can now enjoy premium AI services, marking a key step in making advanced technology accessible across India.

The initiative comes after Jio and Google revealed plans to integrate Gemini’s AI tools into the Indian digital ecosystem at no extra cost. Any Jio 5G user with an active unlimited plan can activate their complimentary Google AI Pro subscription through the MyJio app. Normally priced at Rs 1,950 per month, the service provides access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, enhanced image and video creation with Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models, and 2TB of cloud storage. Users also gain access to advanced features like NotebookLM, designed for academic and research purposes. The total benefits over 18 months are valued at approximately Rs 35,100.

Jio said the move is aimed at 'making powerful AI accessible to everyone', helping users incorporate Google’s advanced tools into daily life. By removing the age restriction and simplifying activation, the partnership seeks to transform how Indians engage with AI, ensuring it becomes a practical tool for all, not just tech enthusiasts.
