One area where Apple has to focus on is the battery life, as many customers have reported poor battery quality in iPhone6 and 6S. So with the formidable new chipset, Apple will look to take care of half the problem as the A9 chip will be integrated with battery saving ability.

Not relying on the chipset itself, the company may also look to expand the battery power to 4000mAh, also in case of 4000mAh the battery may get a 15 percent increase in the power. As the combined duo of chipset and 15 percent increase in battery charge is enough.
