iOS 9.3 Now Available for Download; Brings Night Shift, Password-Protected Notes, and More


BENGALURU: Apart from introducing the iPhone SE, and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, Apple also released the new iteration of its mobile operation system, iOS 9.3. This latest version comes with an array of features including Night Shift, and improvements to iOS for Education.

All iPhone, iPad, and iPod models that support iOS 9 including the dated iPhone 4s, the iPad 2, and the first-generation iPad mini can download iOS 9.3 as a free update. Like every other time, iOS version can be updated over-the-air (OTA) on devices as well as via iTunes on your PC or Mac.

The attractive feature in iOS 9.3 is Night Shift, which is a new display model that improves the tone and blue light emission of the device's display to prevent eye strain. The company claims that the unique feature can improve one’s sleep quality while also offering some other health benefits.

Apple also announced enhancements to the news reading app called News by adding top stories to Apple News and allowing users to keep a tab on the most happening stories of the moment. Additionally, the company is also letting third party apps to access the Apple Music Library. 

To allow Health app to feed users with more information on their sleep, and other activities, Apple has also made some improvements to the visualization of health data collected by the Health app.

Apple is enabling multiple students to utilize one iPad at a time by enhancing the education framework for iPad tablets. The company is also providing Apple School Manager dashboard to enable school admins to create Managed Apple IDs for students.
