Intriguing Technology Trends Exhibited at Mobile World Congress 2016

Better cameras

The common denominator among all the high-end phones revealed at MWC was the fact that they all have improved cameras and much focus has been given to improve the image quality. LG’s new G Pro 2 allows its users to shoot HD videos at 120 frames per second and 4K content, combined in a feature called “magic focus” enabling the user to set the preferred depth of focus just before saving. Sony and Samsung also rolled out their respective smartphones, Xperia Z2 and the Galaxy S5, having similar features to G Pro 2. Both the phones can shoot videos in 4K resolution, while the Z2 can record 120 frames per second to create a slow-motion effect. Oppo, on the other hand is working on SmartSensor image stabilization, which introduced three-axis stabilization for the sensor. All the technology enthusiasts have something else more interesting coming their way with Mi5 planning to offer four-axis stabilization on the lenses, to allow cameras to handle shake and low light.
