Intel has revealed the establishment of a new enterprise-oriented generative AI (GenAI) software firm named Articul8 in collaboration with global investment firm DigitalBridge Group. Articul8 operates as an autonomous company providing enterprise clients with a comprehensive, vertically-optimized, and secure GenAI software platform. Arun Subramaniyan, previously the vice president and general manager in Intel's Data Center and AI Group, has taken on the role of CEO at Articul8.
The platform offers AI capabilities that ensure customer data, training, and inference remain within the security perimeter of the enterprise. Additionally, the platform gives customers the flexibility to choose between cloud, on-premises, or hybrid deployment options, as stated by Intel. "With its deep AI and HPC domain knowledge and enterprise-grade GenAI deployments, Articul8 is well positioned to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel and our broader ecosystem of customers and partners", said Pat Gelsinger, Intel CEO.
The two companies will remain strategically aligned on go-to-market opportunities and collaborate on driving GenAI adoption in the enterprise. "We see GenAI as a pivotal force driving digital infrastructure, and we are pleased to collaborate with Intel to support Articul8's growth", said Marc Ganzi, DigitalBridge CEO.
Articul8 provides a ready-to-use GenAI software platform designed to bring speed, security, and cost-effectiveness, assisting large enterprise customers in implementing and expanding AI at scale. The platform has been introduced and fine-tuned on Intel hardware architectures, such as Intel Xeon Scalable processors and Intel Gaudi accelerators. Rich Lesser, the global chair of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), remarked, "We have implemented Articul8 products for various clients aiming for production-ready platforms with a swift time-to-market".
