In Rajasthan, You Can Now Track Your FIR On Mobile

JAIPUR: Complainants can now keep a track on the current status of an FIR filed at a police station in Rajasthan on their mobile, police said.

The state police has developed a mechanism for providing current status of a case to the complainant for which the applicant will have to register on the website of Rajasthan Police, DGP Omendra Bharadwaj told reporters.

Besides, through WhatsApp, women in three cities -- Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota -- can also now report cases of eve- teasing, harassment, among others, to their respective police, he said.

The state police has taken this initiative initially in Jaipur and Jodhpur police commissionarates and Kota city under which victims can upload picture or video related to eve- teasing or harassment or any other incident on WhatsApp and the action will be taken promptly, Bharadwaj said.

The photos, video, audio clipping or other information can be sent to the numbers - 08764868100 and 08764868200 (Jaipur Police Commissionate), 09530440800 (Jodhpur Police Commissionarate) and 09468800005 (Kota city police).

On tracking of FIR he said that after completing registration process on the website, the complainant will get the message on mobile containing the latest update of the case.
