HMD Global launches HMD Skyline Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with 4,600mAh Replaceable Battery

HMD Skyline has launched new smart android handset in India powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. It comes with a 4,600mAh replaceable battery and ships with a self-repair kit. Users can disassemble and replace certain parts of the phone, including the display and the battery. The smartphone runs on Android 14 and is equipped with a 108-megapixel triple rear camera unit and a 50-megapixel selfie shooter.

The HMD Skyline is priced at 35,999 in India for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It comes in two color options: Neon Pink and Twisted Black. The phone is available for purchase through Amazon, the HMD India website, and offline retail stores across the country.

The HMD Skyline features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ pOLED display (1,800 x 2,400 pixels) with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The phone comes with Android 14 pre-installed.

HMD Skyline handset is featured with  triple rear camera unit, including a 108-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter, and a 13-megapixel sensor paired with an ultrawide lens. The front camera has various features and designed with a 50-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

The HMD Skyline smartphone features a 108MP OIS main camera, 50MP telephoto, 13MP ultrawide, and a 50MP front camera. It has a customizable button on the left and supports HMD Gen 2 repairability, with a self-repair kit for easy display replacement.

Powered by a 4,600mAh replaceable battery, it supports 33W wired, 15W magnetic wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging, though no charger is included. It also offers dual speakers with Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, and connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, OTG, and USB Type-C.
