HCLTech Launches Global Delivery Center in Patna
HCL Technologies, a leading global technology company, launched its new Global Delivery Center in Patna. Initiated its first centre of presence in the state of Bihar, this Centre will come up at the Udyog Bhawan Complex and will provide services that pertain to IT and engineering for clients from the Hi-Tech and Semiconductor industry sectors.
The launch ceremony was adorned by the presence of the Guests of Honour: Shri Nitish Mishra, Hon'ble Minister of Industries, Govt. of Bihar, and Shri Santosh Kumar Suman of the Hon'ble Minister of Information Technology, Govt. of Bihar. Other present officials included Shri Sandeep Poundrik, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Industries, Govt. of Bihar, and Shri Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary, Dept. of Information Technology. Notably present during this milestone event were HCLTech's Chief Financial Officer, Prateek Aggarwal, and Rahul Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Functions.
The center is not only a commitment on HCLTech's part to increase its operational footprint in India but will also leverage the rich talent pool that Bihar has. It will also host specialized labs and centers of excellence, furthering HCLTech's technological innovation initiatives. Modern workspaces and holistic training opportunities are provided for ensuring the centre integrates well into HCLTech's global network.
Mr. Nitish Mishra further added that this HCLTech Investment would prove to be a stimulant for the IT sector in Bihar only if it was huge in terms of employment opportunities and inspiring industry investments. He mentions the role of the center in furthering HCLTech's capability in digital transformation across the world while developing the local talent and giving back to the state's technology ecosystem, according to Mr. Prateek Aggarwal.
This decision to set up the global delivery center also aligns with the overall strategy of HCLTech, where high-quality talent is being scouted across new locations in the country as part of the New Vistas program. This accelerates quite significantly the next steps the company is taking to position itself as a preferred partner for digital transformation for global enterprises.
