BENGALURU: Google Maps, a navigation app that is widely used in both android and iOS based smart phones. The recent news is, likewise for android phones, the company has rolled out a new update or the iOS users and the benefits of the latest updates are mentioned below, as reported by Gadgets 360.

Few months ago, Google released update for Google Maps for the android phones, which enabled the users to navigate offline. The same feature is rolled out for the iOS users.

The update was released recently and iOS users can download map of the particular region and can receive better offline support from the company. Though, the Google has been providing offline services for a long time, it now adds up few more features such as turn-by-turn navigation and providing information about places, ratings, details on functioning time and more. While connected online the application provides real time traffic updates.     

Relatively, users in U.S. and in Canada avail a special feature through the latest update. As per the recent reports the updated app will show the gas prices in different locations across the U.S. and Canada. The pertaining information is available in both offline and online modes and in search results as well. However, the feature is not available out of the respective countries and the company is yet to confirm on the further developments.
