In a major step toward accelerating India’s AI revolution, Google has partnered with Reliance Jio to offer the Gemini Pro AI plan free of cost to eligible Jio users for 18 months. The initiative, announced by Google and Reliance Intelligence Limited, aims to make cutting-edge AI tools accessible to millions across India.

The offer includes access to Google Gemini 2.5 Pro, advanced image and video generation through Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models, expanded use of Notebook LM for research and learning, and 2TB of cloud storage, altogether valued at around Rs 35,100.

Sundar Pichai,CEO of Google, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying he was excited to “bring the best of Google AI to India” through this partnership. Early access will start for 18–25-year-old Jio users on unlimited 5G plans via the MyJio app, before expanding nationwide.

This collaboration combines Jio’s vast connectivity and ecosystem reach with Google’s world-class AI capabilities, aiming to democratize AI access and empower consumers, enterprises, and developers in line with Reliance’s 'AI for All' vision.

Additionally, Reliance Intelligence will work with Google Cloud to expand access to AI infrastructure, including Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), enabling Indian organizations to train and deploy large-scale AI models efficiently.

Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani said the goal is to make India AI-empowered, ensuring every citizen and enterprise can harness intelligent tools for innovation and growth.
