Use the Battery Saving Mode

Almost all the android phones now come with a power savings mode which automatically swings into action when the battery is below the recommended percent. If you are running on Android Lollipop, there is a built-in battery saver mode, that can be activated from Settings > Battery > Battery Saver. This can phone’s extend your battery life up to 60 minutes.

Kill the Animations

Your phone’s flashy animations and transitions are reducing the battery life and there is something you can do about it by activating the hidden developer options. Go to Settings > About phone, then scroll down to Build number and tap it more than seven times. Go back and you will see “Developer options” that wasn’t there before. Tap it and scroll down to "Window animation scale," "Transition animation scale" and "Animation duration scale." Turn these off and reboot the phone. Your phone’s battery will last longer and run faster.
