Made in China, the BabyGuard is a wearable device that helps you monitor the health status of expecting child birth mothers and their babies. According to the Intel IQ website, the device provides a smart healthcare for babies and parents, where a core sensor is worn by the pregnant mother, or after the birth by the baby.
It collects electrophysiological data that can be monitored by a smartphone app keeping the parents updated with the instant information. The developers of the BabyGuard use the Intel Edison technology in their prototype to exchange and process data such as EEG, FECG and EMG signals.
