Exciting New Features To Know On The Windows 10 For Phones
# Photos App Uses Pruning
Apart from the people using the phone for quick internet connectivity and downloading apps, there are tons of others who use it for listening to music and take some pictures too. So the question is how is Microsoft planning to handle pictures on next Windows OS?
Apparently, the new universal photos app stores images across all of the devices synced with OneDrive automatically removing out duplicates and auto-enhancing the pictures. This process removes the Red eye and repeated photos allowing only brightened faces and automatically created albums. However, Google+ has been doing this for quite some time now and looks like Windows is finally doing it right.
# Design Tweaks That Make Sense
The Windows 10 on phones doesn’t look completely different compared with the now App tiles on the phone, but the Start experience on the OS has now been altered.
The background with the wallpaper on the OS lies underneath the app tiles now and shows up when you swipe up from the lockscreen. Swiping to the right, brings the "recently installed apps" at the top. This makes the new downloads easier to find after you exit the Windows store. Moreover, the settings menu has been revamped to reflect what's on the PCs and tablets.
# Free upgrade to Windows 10 for Phone 8.1
Microsoft has decided to offer a free upgrade to Windows users for the first year same as the desktop software, which means you won't have to uninstall your current Windows Phone 8.1 device in order to test Windows 10. But Microsoft will have all the new devices running the Windows 10 by the time it is all set to ship the OS.
