Virtual Reality tech can literally take people to visit the   Louvre, the Rijksmuseum and the Guggenheim all in one day from their sofas. This might sound like a thing of the future but is happening right now. The British Museum launched a virtual reality weekend in 2015, inviting visitors to engage with the past through state-of-the-art 3D goggles and a projection house. The Dutch design agency, ArchiVision, is developing a 3D model of a fictional museum which offers people to marvel at the wonders of the Rijksmuseum from their living rooms using Oculus Rift.
