Budget 2015: Is Tech Policy On The Cards?
BANGALORE: The NDA Government is using the technology in every way possible soon after took control of India. While some of them are Digital India, MyGov and Digital Locker are solely made up with technology. Also with Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojana has technology as the prime building block in the service, reports ET.
The Prime minister considers transparency, accountability and efficiency as the three cornerstones of his governance philosophy. And Technology will play as the fourth cornerstone to balance and achieve all the objectives of PM.
Though, most of these initiatives have been remote, however grand visions that look at specific objectives. It cannot be wrong when one takes a narrow view of achieving specific goals within those schemes.
But this approach of individual grand plans in silos endures from three downsides.
One, frequently there is a replication of creation of basic infrastructure, efforts and human resources, which goes openly against the philosophy of efficiency.
