Become a Seller With The New Amazon App
It seems Amazon is a bit late to bring upon such an app because the rival e-commerce giants like Snapdeal, which has around 100, 000 sellers, already offers a mobile seller app since July 2014. On the other hand, Flipkart’s selling app is almost ready to be launched in the market.
In a country like India, which is highly populated and governs one of the biggest markets of e-commerce, the introduction of such apps is expected to create a big boom in the ever growing sales.
According to a Morgan Stanley report on Indian ecommerce, “India is soon going to become one of the biggest markets in terms of new smartphone users as most first-time Internet users are jumping directly to mobile platforms," reports ET.
"Further, smartphone adoption has improved because of lower handset prices and wider availability. Smartphones sold for below $200 account for 81 percent of the total," added in the report.
