Apple's Next iPhone To Sport 'DSLR Quality' Camera

BENGALURU: With the recent launch of iPhone6 and iPhone6 Plus and Apple is aiming to conquer the Smartphone market with bringing in new features and facilities.

The smartphone manufacturer has focused to revamp the camera with much improvement seen in the iPhone6 and iPhone 6 Plus such as improved color accuracy, advanced noise reduction algorithms and optical image stabilization.

As reported by NDTV Gadgets, Apple is now in process of launching a handset with dual lens facility for their upcoming iPhone handset next year. The Tech Block quotes Gruber to say, "The specific thing I heard is that next year camera might be the biggest camera jump ever. I don't even know what sense this makes, but I've heard that it's some kind of weird two-lens system where the back camera uses two lenses and it somehow takes it up into DSLR quality imagery."

As known Sony has been the supplier of camera sensors for iPhones and its Exmor sensor is used in Apple's iPhone 6. Sony has recently revealed a 21 MP Exmor RS IMX230 sensor, which claims to give super HD images just like a DSLR. The coincidence between the revelation and Apple planning a makeover for its camera cannot rule out the probabilities.

The latest Exmor RS IMX230 has stacked CMOS sensor that brings out an effective 21MP images with only 1/2.4-inch size. It is built-in 192-point phase-detection autofocus, which will keep fast-moving subjects sharp and focused. The new chip revealed also has an integrated HDR for high-resolution still images and able to shoot HD videos.
