Apple's iPhone Aims to Create a Eudaimonic Society


Autism & Beyond: Four months of continuous effort by a large team of Duke University presented this iOS app for children aged between 1 and 6 years. The app intends to verify if smartphone questionnaires and video analysis of facial expressions are reliable enough as a screening tool for autism and other development disorders. It records a child’s reaction while viewing a quartern of videos. Facial Recognition methodologies are used in measuring emotions and head positions. The developers foresee the use of their product in the study of temper tantrums, picky eating and child anxiety.
