New designs for Maps

Apple has followed upon its decision to open its maps to developers.

Apple promises that the new designs will enable you you to find a restaurant, book a reservation, request a car from Uber or Lyft and pay for it using Apple Pay, all without leaving the Maps app.

Revitalized music

Apple is revealing a redesign of its music service–Apple music, directed at minimalism and easier tracking of music stored on the device as opposed to streamed from the internet

The app now also showcases lyrics and personalized, day-to-day curated playlists, along with a "discovery mix" to help users find new music. The service now has 15 million paying subscribers, 2 million more than in April.

Web payments

Apple users can use the phone’s fingerprint sensor to pay and check out when they are shopping online in a web browser, says Apple. Google introduced a similar feature to Android Pay last month

The Apple Watch update

In an upcoming update, Apple will introduce tracking to wheelchair users. Among other features, the update will motivate users to wheel themselves about– an equivalent to standing breaks. This attempt might boost Apple Smartwatch’s image over stand-alone fitness trackers, even if the target market is not so big in number.

The upcoming version of Apple’s software for watches will include an “SOS” feature that will automatically call for help during emergencies.

All new Mac OS

Apple’s new Mac system will be called macOS Sierra. Apple's new Mac system besides getting Siri, will let users move more seamlessly between various of Apple devices.
