The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding signed with AITMC Ventures Limited, AVPL, wherein the institution plans to set up AeroVision Drone Labs across all AICTE approved institutions in the country. This collaboration is expected to kick-start with the establishment of 50 labs providing hands-on training in the latest drone technology to students as well as faculty members across the country and strengthen technical education.

This collaboration would highlight AICTE's commitment to innovative educational methods in strengthening ties between academia and industry. The participating institutions would be prepared with access to the latest technology, comprehensive training modules, as well as ongoing support from AVPL, in an attempt to cultivate a new generation of skilled professionals adept in drone technology to help solve current real world problems.

AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam says, "Introducing AeroVision Drone Labs is a huge step toward equipping students with hands-on skills in drone technology. The current programme shows the direction in which we need to move to augment technical education and prepare training that's relevant to the industry. This would prepare our young minds for global job markets. We hope this collaboration inspires other industry leaders to initiate similar ventures that are beneficial to the students and lead to an industry-ready workforce".

The AeroVision Drone Labs will provide foundational resources for the students, including specialized programmes involving the practical skills and knowledge on the handling and applications of drones in various industries. Therefore, with integrated theory classes and on-field practicing, the students will be well-structured with preparation for the dynamic job markets.
