Adobe Unveils AI-Powered Audio Feature in Premiere Pro Beta
Adobe has introduced a new audio feature in Premiere Pro aimed at enhancing the speed and simplicity of editing for users. Currently in beta, interested Premiere Pro users can test this feature by opting for the beta version. The new audio feature involves interactive fade handles on timeline clips, allowing editors to easily create various custom audio fades with a simple click and drag.
Additionally, new AI-powered audio category tagging automatically identifies and labels clips with icons for dialogue, music, sound effects or ambient noise, giving editors one-click access to the most relevant tools for each type of audio. Furthermore, there are redesigned clip badges that enhance visibility, making it easier to identify clips with effects, swiftly add new effects, or adjust effect settings. The waveforms, now more modern and intelligent, dynamically resize when the track height is changed. Additionally, improved clip colors contribute to enhanced visibility and facilitate audio work on the timeline.
Apart from the recently introduced audio features in Premiere Pro's beta version, Adobe will be rolling out its AI-driven Enhance Speech tool to all Premiere Pro users in February. This tool has the ability to swiftly eliminate undesirable noise and enhance poorly recorded dialogue. Together, these additions represent a substantial update to Premiere Pro's audio workflow, providing editors with the tools to produce videos featuring high-quality audio and simplifying the final mix process with a reduced need for manual adjustments.
“Sound creates meaning and adds impact to film and video - it has the power to help tell a story and move us in ways visuals alone cannot", said Ashley Still, senior vice president and general manager, Adobe Creative Cloud. “We’re proud to empower filmmakers with new workflows that make editing audio more intuitive, so whether they’re new to audio or experienced pros, Premiere Pro makes it faster and easier to find the perfect tool", further added.
