Adobe Starts Stock Photo Service, Unveils Creative Cloud 2015


NEW DELHI: Adobe software company launched a new stock photo service and released its 2015 version of creative cloud tools and services.

The new update includes desktop tools, including Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Premiere Pro CC and InDesign CC as well as new connected mobile apps for iOS and Android.

The company will also ship Adobe Stock, which it touts to be an industry first stock content service, to be integrated directly into the softwares and tools for everyday use.

Commenting on the release, David Wadhwani, senior vice president, digital media, Adobe, said: "Adobe Stock, our brand new stock service, makes 40 million photos, vector graphics and illustrations accessible directly within your favourite CC desktop apps."

While the Nasdaq-listed company released Brush CC, Shape CC, Color CC and Photoshop Mix for Android, it updated many of its popular creative cloud mobile apps for iPhone and iPad, including Adobe Comp CC, Photoshop Mix, Photoshop Sketch, Illustrator Draw, Brush CC, Shape CC and Color CC.

"The 2015 release of Creative Cloud is packed with innovation. Our  CreativeSync technology deepens the connections between desktop apps and mobile apps on iOS and Android; and major updates to Creative Cloud's infrastructure and administrative capabilities make this an essential upgrade for enterprise customers," Wadhwani said.

In addition, Adobe announced an expanded creative cloud enterprise offering that includes enterprise-grade administration, security, collaboration and publishing services for design-driven brands, businesses and large organisations.

"We know that companies that foster creativity are 3.5 times more likely to  outperform their peers in terms of revenue growth, based on Forresters Creative  Dividends research released late last year," said Umang Bedi, the managing director of South Asia, Adobe.

"Enterprises of all sizes, SMBs, creative professionals and serious hobbyists will find this release of creative cloud most useful," he said.

"Not only does it put the power of mobile in the hands of creative individuals and makes them much more agile and productive; with deep connections with Adobe Digital Publishing  Solution (DPS) and Adobe Marketing Cloud it allows businesses to make, mobilise,  manage, measure, and monetise content in a secure fashion thus transforming  their own and their customers' businesses," he added.
