BANGALORE: Google’s version of the messaging app like the existing ones which is similar Whatsapp and Viber is likely to be out by next year. According to the reports on the Economic times, the company will test the app in the country, the difference between the present Google’s Hangouts and the messaging app is going to be that it won’t require a Google login, as reported by the Digital trends.

 As far as the present system goes, the Google apps, such as Google+, Gmail, and the Google Play Store, need the user to have a Google account. The company’s decision to put some thought into a free messaging app might be influenced by Facebook’s acquisition of WhatsApp and its intentions to not lose ground in the fast emerging markets.  For instance, WhatsApp has 65 million users in India alone, and Viber’s new owner has major international expansion plans too. Google’s app may be localized for the multi-language support and giving it a stiffer appeal to the users.

The company has not confirmed anything as yet, but an anonymous source informed the Economic Times about the new app from the Google which would launch in 2015 and is free to use.
