Google has given the very noble opportunity to the orkut users to preserve their photos into your Google+ account. You just need to follow the link http://www.orkut.com/AlbumsExport and save them to your account.
Moreover the albums which you will be saving will remain private and restricted to you only. 
You can save these photos in Google+ and you can save them to your computer using Google Takeout.
Google Takeout allows you to download your profile, received scraps, received testimonials actions and photos in a zip file. Follow these steps to save your data: Go to the Google Takeout page> Click Choose services and then select Orkut> Click Create archive> When it’s ready, click Download.
