Most Downloaded Applications by iPhone and iPad Users
BENGALURU: The demonetization move by the government of India increased the business of e-wallet company-Paytm as it became most popular free apps among the iPad and iPhone users. In the week ending on December 10, Paytm was the most downloaded application for iOS users. Gadgets Now listed few most-downloaded iPhone apps in different countries during the first week of December.
Paytm, India
Paytm has become the favourite app of iPhone users in India for first week of December. Founded by Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Paytm enables online payments for mobile billing, movie, bus, flight, electricity, water, gas, and also online shopping. The demand for Paytm app increased after government’s move of scrapping higher denomination currency notes.
Bitmoji, USA
This is an avatar creation and photo augmentation application that allows users to create cartoon images of their own image by using a large range of reactions and emotions. The US audience was mostly attracted and that’s why it secured top spot in the most downloaded app by iPhone users in the country.
Whatsapp, UK
In the United Kingdom, Whatsapp was the most downloaded iPhone application by users. The Facebook owned messaging application recently launched its new video calling feature.
Facebook Messenger, Australia
Facebook messenger was the top downloaded app among iPhone users in the first week of December in Australia. The Facebook messenger is offering various features like group chats, video calling, free calling, photos and video sharing, etc.
QQ, China
China is a country which is known for mostly using local services. Therefore, in the first week of December the Social networking app QQ was trending on top among the iPhone users.
