Mobile App To Report Dirty Tourist Places Launched


BENGALURU:  With foggy hill stations, captivating beaches, historical monuments, serene backwaters, pilgrimage sites, rich wildlife, captures the heart of every tourists visiting India, making the experience truly unforgettable and fantastic. But someone who has been to India will notice how unclean it is. Although this is an embarrassing fact, it is a fact that cannot escape notice. The Times of India reports about a new application launched by the government of India as part of its campaigns to make India a clean India.

The government of India launched a mobile application named 'Swachh Paryatan Mobile App' that enables people to send pictures of unclean spots in and around tourist locations to the authorities for “immediate action”. The application launched by tourist minister Mahesh Sharma, as part of the Clean India Mission will initially be available for 25 heritage monuments including Taj Mahal,Qutab Minar and Red Fort among others. The app, which is available on Android Phones, will also be soon available on Apple and Microsoft as well. The ministry plans to extend the facility to other tourist destinations across the country. People can upload photographs of unclean places on which immediate action will be taken. They can also send suggestions in bringing improvement at the tourist places. Nodal officers are appointed to take immediate action on information sent by tourists. The cleanliness of the place will be restored in 1-2 hour duration and if the nodal officer fails to act immediately, action will be taken against him.  The recently launched Tourist Infoline is getting 18000 responses daily and is reported as very successful.
