Ministry Launches Toll-Free Number For Cable TV Digitization Queries

NEW DELHI: The ministry of information and broadcasting on Thursday set up a toll-free number to answer queries of stakeholders, including consumers, for seamless transition to digitization of the cable television in the country.

“After the completion of first two phases of cable TV digitization, which covered four metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai) and 38 cities with population of more than 10 lakh each, phase III of digitization is underway. It would cover all the remaining urban areas in the country and is set to be completed by December 31,” read an official statement.
