LINE To Rule The Conference World?


BENGALURU: Japan’s largest social networking site ‘LINE’ has released its new app ‘Popcorn Buzz’ to extend the level of connectivity. As of now, Popcorn Buzz app is exclusively made for the Android users. Moreover, the iOS supported version is expected to arrive soon with few added up features like conference video chat, interconnectivity with LINE groups and many more, reports fristpost.

‘Popcorn Buzz’ comes with a package comprising of ‘group conference call’ feature, wherein you can create a group of 200 users max and can have a conference call with all the group members at once. However, data charges may apply. This could be utilitarian in official purposes. This new feature is believed to blow off the paid conference call services, provided by the network providers.

LINE states- “Popcorn Buzz can be used to talk with friends and family, catch up with classmates, make plans with club members, and more. On top of that, Popcorn Buzz is a perfect replacement for existing paid business-grade conference call services. For users that need to talk to multiple people at once, Popcorn Buzz accommodates both personal and business usage, all for free.”

‘Users online’ and ‘Users on call’ are notified by the green dabs at the lower left end corner. The current Line customers do not have to create a new account for Popcorn Buzz, you can just logging with your existing login id, supporting statement by LINE, “existing LINE users can log in to Popcorn Buzz with their LINE account to immediately synchronize their friend’s list data and get started making group calls with their LINE friends right away.”
