India's First Apple Carplay In-Vehicle System Lauched By Pioneer

BANGALORE: The Japanese digital electronic producer Pioneer introduced the AVIC-F970BT car entertainment system in India.  By this advancement from Pioneer has brought cheers among iPhone users because it is the only device in the country to support Apple CarPlay, reports Mobiletor.

The new Pioneer car entertainment system is priced at 39,990. With this price the entertainment system brings in the features such as touchscreen, navigation, voice assistance and many more. Apple CarPlay made its entry a year ago and this feature helps the drivers in many ways with the support of iPhone.

The Apple CarPlay feature can be enabled just by connecting your iPhone 5 or later models to the car-entertainment device through a lightning cable. The CarPlay allows the user to respond to text message through voice, accept incoming calls, and get navigation through maps and even access user’s entire iTunes library without touching the phone.

Coming to the device itself, the Pioneer AVIC-F970BT sports a 6.2-inch touchscreen to access its attributes. The device also comes with a microphone that lets the user to access Siri in order to get things done with voice command. Furthermore, the new entertainment system also boasts a 2 USB ports, Bluetooth, RCA pre-out, Mirrorlinka and Mixtrax features.

If you are one of them with an old AVH-X8690BT system installed in your vehicle, then don’t consider switching it to the latest edition. The company has introduced a firmware update that will make the old AVH-X8690BT to support Apple’s CarPlay. The update can be downloaded from the company’s website and manually installed through a USB flash drive.
