Google I/O 2015: 5 Expected Announcements


BENGALURU: Google is all set to carry on its annual biggest developer conference. I/O 2015 will bring forward some of the major announcements that Internet giant, Google has plans to unveil. Let us look at some of the things that are expected to be unveiled at Google I/O 2015, as reported by First Post.

Android for Work

Google is stepping up in providing more superior enterprise level solutions to corporations, which will help the company to increase its presence in more workplaces. The current Android for Work update is expected to be for all types of working places.

Android M

In a screenshot captured by ArsTechnica about session information for Android for Work said “Android M is bringing the power of Android in all kinds of workplaces.” However, Google immediately removed the information for unknown reasons. It may be speculated that Google may unveil Android M at I/O 2015.

Voice commands

Google’s new Android M may become completely hands free after all. The new session on “Your app, now available hands-free”, is already planned at the two day conference and several new voice enabled features are expected to come along with the new Android.

Skybox

Google bought a company called “Skybox” for a massive amount of $500 millions that deals with real-time satellite imaging. A session called “The Earth in Real Time” at I/O 15, talks about using and implementing Skybox.

Games for Chromecast

Google is offering more for Chromecast. A session description says “designing for the mobile and television experience on multiple screens, and adapting existing game design patterns to a multi-screen interactive format.” Thus, it can be speculated that Google may bring Games on Chromecast.
