Facebook Hits Bulls Eye: Launches WhatsApp To PCs

whatsappBENGALURU: WhatsApp is no more limited to phones; it has been introduced on the desktops. WhatsApp users can now directly chat and stay in touch with their friends through desktop systems. It can be counted as one of the first evolutions brought by WhatsApp after it has been bought by Facebook, reports Techradar.

Users can easily connect their devices to internet and chat with their friends just by visiting web.whatsapp.com. Furthermore, the messages are even stored on the phones. WhatsApp has recently found a way to identify the unofficial WhatsApp users.

This app is not available for the iPhone users yet due to some limitations in Apple’s platform. WhatsApp Web is accessible through Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry and Nokia S60 series and this requires installing the latest version of Whatsapp on the phone. Whatsapp web for iOS systems will be launched very soon, but there is no fixed time for that.

Another limitation that the app carries is that a picture of a QR code should be taken to login to the page of Whatsapp Web. Normally in phones, one uses phone numbers and SMS instead of any passwords or usernames. Here the phone must be connected to the desktop. So if the battery of your phone dies, your Whatsapp web is also disconnected.
