Automation Anywhere Propels NASSCOM's futureskills Robotic Process Automation Vision

The unveiling of ‘Skill India’ initiative reconstructed growth prospects at the grass-root level. Integration of skilled resources and automation technology has significantly carved out new boundaries for standardization, globalization and technical developments. Leading this initiative to newer echelons is Automation Anywhere who joined hands with EdCast for ‘futureskills’, NASSCOM’s skilling initiative unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year. With this venture, Automation Anywhere becomes the first training partner in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) domain for providing upskilling programs under future skills initiative. As identified by NASSCOM, RPA is among the eight technologies that are accounted to grow tremendously both nationally and globally in the upcoming decade.

The agreement states that subscribers on futureskills portal will have exclusive access to Automation Anywhere University (AAU) training programs that encompass RPA technology overviews, theoretical concepts, typical business cases and hands-on practice exercises. Further, the program will ace students with globally-recognized Automation Anywhere certifications that will eventually open doors to exciting career opportunities.

On the occasion, Ankur Kothari, Chief Revenue Officer & Co-Founder, Automation Anywhere asserts, “We are very proud to be a part of this prestigious initiative and mission-critical national agenda. As RPA continues its rapid adoption at the enterprise level, we see India driving this trend worldwide. It is not only opening multi-billion opportunities for Indian enterprises and creating lakhs of job opportunities which did not exist until recently, but also leading a big push for the country’s rich engineering talent pool. To seize this opportunity there needs to be a solid and sustainable upskilling program”.

Further he adds, “We are glad that Indian Government and NASSCOM have reacted well to this compelling need with a comprehensive skilling program and it is our pleasure to be a trusted partner in this nation building exercise”.

AAU Under Spotlight

An RPA learning platform, AAU aims at transferring RPA knowledge and skills to professionals across all industries worldwide and preparing Next-Gen successful business leaders for new era of global work. It includes catalogue of courses and certifications delivered in classrooms and an online e-learning portal via a network of accredited global partners. While these programs are available globally for all types of RPA roles, Automation Anywhere is determined to train over one lakh students and professionals in 2018. Additionally, AAU’s partnership on futureskills will further enable NASSCOM’s vision of upskilling two million technology professionals and skilling another two million potential employees and students in the upcoming years.

Amit Aggarwal, CEO, IT/ITES Sector Skill Council, NASSCOM affirms, “India has a huge opportunity to become the hub of process automation. Global in-house centers/captives, BPOs and service providers have centers in India where they run the shared services to support global customers and operations. We have the processes, expertise and technology platform to lead the world in process automation. We are happy that Automation Anywhere is collaborating with Edcast on NASSCOM’s futureskills initiative to reskill and upskill our IT/ITES community”.

Adding insights further, Ankur elucidates, “We predict RPA, as a category, can create new job opportunities in the range of 2,90,000 – 3,20,000 lakh over the next three years. With a robust training program and strong partner network, AAU aims to continue enhancing the rich engineering talent pool in this country, particularly in RPA domain”.
