BENGALURU: The Apple product users have been warned about a bug that exposes the sensitive data to the cyber criminals and takes control of the devices. The Cyber security firm FireEye has published details on its blog about the effects of the virus, reports Reuters.

"It is a very powerful vulnerability and it is easy to exploit," FireEye Senior Staff Research Scientist Tao Wei said in an interview.

According to the blog, the bug gives the hackers the access to the user’s phone and force users to install apps which would create easier access to the hacker with text messages and emails. With this application called the Masque Attack, the hacker can replace the original apps installed from the official app store which includes all the banking details including the user’s email details.

Apparently, the Apple’s iOS comes with very good security measures which make it difficult for one to install virus on the devices using the normal conventional methods used on the Windows and the Android platforms. But the bug broke the system that apple had made up for the big organizations and put in a self-made software by avoiding the Apple app store.
