Apple To Come Up With iCar?
BANGALORE: Did you stumble upon any Apple rumours lately? Not about iPhone 7 to possess super-tough screen and not even the next iPad to be bigger one. This latest rumour is about Apple trying their hand in manufacturing cars, not just normal petrol heads. It is about smart cars which would drive themselves, reports Mashable.
The rumour sparked bright when we first stumbled upon the reports that Apple was working on something that would, to quote one of Business insider’s sources at Apple, “Give Tesla a run for its money.”
Soon after that, the Financial Times reported that, Apple had started hiring employees from the automotive industry for a secretive new research lab. The Wall Street Journal published that the Apple’s car building team includes Johann Jugwirth, former president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Research & Development and several hundred employees working secretly toward creating an Apple-branded electric vehicle.
