BENGALURU: With the Android lollipop still gaining popularity among the handsets, here’s a rumor that the handset’s going to get another update. According to AndroidPIT, two different inside sources have confirmed that Google is developing 5.1 for the next year and will be launched by the end of February, reports Tech radar.

Apparently, when Google was asked about,  the company declined to comment . But with the Android 5.0 lollipop still to hit many devices, it seems a little odd that Google is releasing the next version of the Android already. But with the issues on the OS and updates fixing the problems on the Android 5.0 , here are some of the improvements on the Android 5.1 which might be interesting if it hits the handsets.

The Silent mode is added on the Android 5.0, improvements in system stability, much better RAM management, improved battery performance and many more. The problems with Google Now will be fixed on the OS along with major issues like the Wireless connections, Notification issues, Sound problems and excessive consumption of network.
