Voip Calls Low Battery Life, Causing Heating

Since VoIP consumes more battery than usual phone calls, it doesn't seem to be the preferred option as users might get frustrated for phone heating issues. Since it's through data and not through normal calling, it tends to make the device warmer, usually on a regular call and not many users want to risk this, when they own luxury handsets.

Incoming Calls, May Not Be Always Free

For over 10 years now, we Indians have not paid for incoming calls but may not be the case if you're receiving an incoming call from the internet. Taking calls on Wi-Fi is free but not in case of 3G, where you would end up paying more. Basically, what happens is that, there is a reduction from two ends i.e. both incoming and outgoing.

Availability and Fragmentation Of Apps

Today, there is a huge availability of apps which people use on a daily basis. Some of which are Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Viber, Skype, Hike, WeChat and so on. With the availability of these apps, most people fragment or categorize themselves to the apps they like. This creates a problem of, which person is on what type of internet calling app. For instance if one uses Vodafone, one can call an Idea user. But, if you use WhatsApp, you can't call anyone on Skype.
