5 Ways to Boost Better Signal in Cellphones

BENGALURU: Though now technology has come a long way, the common problems in cell phones prevail with issues like dropped calls and poor voice quality. Also, it has started affecting internet connection, email, apps, social media, and other real-time services.

The tech arena is continuously creating and finding new ways to keep everyone connected. For such services the tele-companies make you pay high, which clearly reflects in your cell phone bills. Hence, one deserves to get what they're paying for; a reliable network connection. Without any reliable 3G & 4G LTE signals, a cell phone is basically a calculator that takes groovy photos.

But here are some of the efforts that you can make to help boost your signal strength:

1. Clear out obstructions

We often see people raising their phones; basically trying to cut down the interference between tower signal and phones to the minimum. Here are some tips: a) get near a window, go away from thick walls and insulated interiors, etc, b) avoid tall obstructions such as trees, mountains, hills, high buildings, metal structures, C)stay far away from  magnetic & electronic clutter.

2. Keep your battery full

A constant supply of power helps you to connect to a cell tower. Save power by lowering brightness, switch off unnecessary apps, and update to latest firmware. Any extreme temperature is not good for phones and its battery life is deteriorated.

3. Prefer the use of Wi-Fi network

Wi-Fi Calling (also known as Unlicensed Mobile Access or UMA) enables users to utilize your broadband Wi-Fi connection to make calls, boost reception & connect to the internet with least disturbances.

4. Change your service provider

The chances are your phone is absolutely fine but it’s just the carrier service causing the troubles. When you live in a location which occurs in a patchy coverage area, try switching to service which has greater strength for that area. If you happen to be under contract with services, a strong argument can help you get rid of it without paying a termination fee.

5. Get a New Phone

In case poor signal occurs continuously even after changing places and switching to various services, your phone has got to be the root of all evils. Usually, faulty or a weak antenna leads to the bad reception of signals. You might consider getting yourself a new phone and upgrade to better hardware.
