4 Online Scams Indians Should Not Fall For

2. Lottery Scams

Perhaps, this is one of the oldest tricks of the scammers, but still effective. Starting off with an email stating that the user won a hue amount, later asking to pay some small fees. These scams come from emails, pop-up banners, ads that sends congratulatory messages. If it asks for credit card information or any other payments or registrations, it definitely is a scam. They send a fake cheque and by the time the cheque is deposited in the bank, the scammer removes the money from the account and cheque will bounce.
