Freerice is a non-profit website that is owned by and supports the United Nations World Food Programme. It provides education to everyone for free and helps end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free. For every question the user answers correctly, 10 grains of rice are donated via the World Food Programme. A user's total score is displayed as a mound of rice and the number of grains.

Instructables is a website specializing in user-created and uploaded do-it-yourself projects, which other users can comment on and rate for quality. It was created by Eric Wilhelm and Saul Griffith and launched in August 2005. The site allows uploading of photos, diagrams, video and animation to help explain complex terminology and mechanisms in clear and understandable terms.

Investopedia is an Internet site devoted to investing education based in Edmonton in Alberta, Canada started by Cory Janssen and Cory Wagner in June 1999. It is a resource for investing education, personal finance, market analysis and free trading simulators. The site now averages over 11 Million Unique Visitors and 40 Million Page views a month and is home to over 6,300 articles, 13,000 dictionary entries, and 750 pages of tutorials covering all aspects of finance and investing.
