4. Gas Operated Iron by K Linga Brahmam

Observing the interrupted power supply and scarce availability of coal K Linga came out with the idea of LPG gas operated iron. The product received funding from the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) and the outcome was an iron that can work on low running cost of INR 1.8 per hour. The iron is a perfect partner of tailors and washer-men in rural India.
