Google and the silly fines:

Google street view is one of the most innovating concepts in the internet history. But one fact about this service was that when the company was clicking pictures of one of the streets, they accidentally took a picture of a lady that had a rather unexpected exposure of her chest. The company was challenged at court and was asked to compensate the lady for this accidental filming. The company obliged although trying to justify that the lady was at a public place and that the photo was not intentional at all.

Acquisitions:

Google has acquired so many smaller companies that the numbers are shooting through the roof. It is believed that Google acquires one company every week. This is a feat that no other company has done or is doing. Acquiring companies only gives Google a better advantage over their rivals.

Not so smart after all:

Did you know that the founders of Google did not know much about HTML programming. This is why Google’s main page is so sparse and that it didn’t even have a submit button. The return button was used as submit to search for results.

Google doodle:

The first Google Doodle was done by the founders, Larry and Sergey, when they were on their way to Burning Man in Nevada. They wanted people to know where the Google team would be so they added the festivals logo to the company’s logo on the main page.
