They say counting sheep will make you fall asleep easily, but in reality it doesn’t work. The developer of ‘Sheep Sheep’ app still believes in counting sheep to fall asleep. The app is just an animation of a sheep jumping over a wooden fence and a counter on the top. Sometimes it is pretty boring to watch the sheep jump and counting them one after the other would make a person doze off easily or throw the phone away.

Fancy being ghost buster? Ghost Radar will help you detect ghosts around you and translates the ghost language in to English – this is what the app description tells it its user. If you read further, it reads, “we offer no guarantees of accuracy or any warranties, therefore, since results from this application cannot be verified scientifically the app should be used for entertainment purposes.” Up on that the comment from other users will lure anyone to download this app.

Anti Mosquito

The phenomenon of repelling mosquitoes using ultrasonic waves seems an effective method to stay away from disease spreading blood suckers. If you Google this amusing theory, there are no evidence supporting this method of repelling mosquitoes. However, the scientists have made a breakthrough using ultrasonic waves to attract mosquitoes instead shooing them off.

Pocket Fan

This Pocket Fan app comes with a disclaimer – “Android does not currently support blowing air through the device's screen. Any cooling effect you experience while using this app is purely coincidental.” Also in the description the developers indicate it is a pretty useless app yet they want us to download and watch the fan blades rotate by the touch of the screen.

Electric Shaver

Electric Shaver app is more of buzzer, as it only makes the buzzing sound of a shaver and nothing else. The app was created to play prank people when a prankster uses this app and hold the phone next to somebody else’s place the buzzing noise turns on and leaves any impression that the prankster shaved off the beard or moustache.

Hold On!

Hold On! is an app similar to ‘Pointless Button’, instead of tapping the virtual button, user has to rest his finger on the screen for longest time. Each second is considered as a point therefore, longer you rest your finger on the screen, and you will accumulate large number of points. Much like the ‘Pointless Button’ app, Hold On also has a leader board where people have successfully rested their finger on the screen for hours.

The most useless app ever

The app itself named as “The most useless app ever”, this app offers widget as well. When the user clicks open this app, the app opens like other apps and provides just a button to close the app. ‘The most useless app ever’ is the most useless app ever in the Google PlayStore.
