GoPro: The American company that was started by Nick Woodman, who was a surf fanatic turned entrepreneur, designs, builds and manufacturers cameras for high action. These cameras are made for sporting or extreme adventures to capture every moment. The cameras can be mounted, worn, and attached to anything to capture any action.

GoPro at the start of the year filed an IPO with SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) hoping to get over $100 million through sales of their shares. They intend to use that money to pay off the total debt and also with excess profit acquired invest in complementary businesses. The company sold shares at a rate of $24 per share. The company is valued at approximately $2.95 billion.

Gilt Groupe: The online shopping retail company was started in America and has its headquarters in New York. Gilt started in 2007 launching women apparels and accessories and later expanded to Gilt Groupe Japan, Gilt Fuse, travel site Jetsetter, Gilt City, Gilt Home, and Gilt Taste. All these sub domains were started between 2007 and 2011.

The company is known best for its clearance sales of designer label items. Currently, they have over 7 million users and are continuing to expend incredibly. Gilt is valued at over $1 billion.

Glassdoor: The American website company that was started in 2008 is a job and career site that allows employees to anonymously post about the pros and cons of their company and bosses. It also permits employees to discuss their salary.
