Technological Amuses: Project Jacquard, Ara, Soli, Vault And More

Project Soli

This project isn’t very new for us the technology of gesture control. If we peek into the history the gesture control was developed in the 1920s by Leon Theremin which controlled the music just by hand gestures.

Although it rose many eyebrows but, this technology didn’t take the mainstream. Currently the whole world is driven by touch interfaces; however this time also a Russian has taken the responsibility to bring back the old trick back.

Project Vault

Project Vault is made solely to strengthen the security of the device through microSD card. Last year, Google declared they used USB security key for super-secure two step verification. But this time, Google has noticed the need for memory card in modern day storage reliability.

Hence, the company uses microSD cards to prevent software exploits, now this project mixes cryptographic tools and custom real-time operating system to save the data while the user accesses it.

Project Abacus

This project also deals with the security just like Project Vault. But Project Abacus learns the user’s behavior, as the time elapses the device will known whether to activate security or not. This eases out the users stress to unlocking his device every single time when he wants to access it.
