Windows 10 Borrows New OS X-Like Trackpad Gestures


BENGALURU: One of the favorable features Microsoft included with Windows 8 was Trackpad gestures, which allows users to navigate faster, and be more productive and efficient. The upcoming Windows 10 has huge anticipation from users and Microsoft is keeping up to it. Windows 10 will be bringing a new range of Trackpad gestures, making the operating system easier to use.

According to Redmond Pie, a technology news website, this idea of gestures has been triggered from Apple’s MacBookTechspot highlighted how Joe Belfiore, Microsoft’s associate flaunt some of these new gestures at his TechEd Europe keynote. He also stated that testers can soon avail an update to the Windows 10 Technical Preview.

Following are the upgraded and most awaited features:

Firstly, it is swiping three fingers up or down, which will minimize or maximize all the active windows. Smooth isn’t it? The three finger swipe up will also be used to reveal Windows 10's Task View, which shows all active applications neatly.

Second is the three fingers swiping on the Trackpad to the left or right, which will be switch between applications.

Finally, it is the new window snapping features, which will work across multiple displays. Apps in the center of the monitor will pop up a transparent snap window which can be snapped on either side of the monitor.
