Sirena to Bring IoT Based Audio for a Modest Price in India

BENGALURU: In India, a new development in technology takes a slow phase to sink into everyone’s lives. Internet of Things is such a concept which is yet to make its impact in India. Although certain companies have put forward their interest in adopting Internet of Things, it is still in the planning stage. Unlike these big companies, a Bengaluru-based startup Sirena is taking its first footsteps in embracing this technology. They are focusing on designing and producing products for education, entertainment and smart homes, reports NDTV.

Recently Sirena has developed a range of Wi-Fi speakers that work using LibreSync technology to offer multi-room audio solutions. Using Wi-Fi connectivity, the speakers use a free app to provide multi-room audio that works with a list of compatible devices and ecosystems, including Android, Apple AirPlay, DLNA, UPnP, and AllShare. The company wants to make a device that is right for the cost oriented Indian market.

Although there are many multi-room audio speakers available in the market, the audio devices from Sirena are more affordable. Price is one way in which an Indian company can stand out against international competition. Other companies who are making such devices for low price are Cube26 and Philips. Sirena is even developing connected robots and Wi-Fi enabled power adapters for home use. If the company once decides the price, it won’t be long before we see Sirena's IoT home audio and lighting solutions in the market.
