Now Android Smartphones Become Vulnerable To Hackers

sdBENGALURU: We are all aware of virus and bugs damaging our Smartphone but did you know that even if you have put your phone in screen lock mode, hackers can still unlock your Smartphone? I guess not. A critical bug allows hackers to gain access to Android Smartphone’s and tablets lock screen with a simple hack, according to techworm.net.

Hacking technique in Smartphone is very simple. It is done by adding a large number of characters in the emergency call window and then copying it on the Android clipboard. After inserting the long string into the window, the hacker then open the camera from the locked device and swipes down for more options menu and pastes the characters in the resulting password prompt.

According to some researchers, this sort of Android Smartphone hack affects all devices running Android versions 5, through which millions of Android Smartphone are susceptible to this threat worldwide. These kinds of threat can be avoided by just switching to PIN or pattern-based lock screen to avoid potential hack and loss of personal data. However a simple patch from Android would protect your Smartphone from threats.

Only users of Nexus 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 are exempted from this theft as these phones have the patch files necessary to protect them from hackers. However, for Google it’s impossible to patch every Smartphone running on Android operating system as there are  sheer number of Android Smartphone in the market to fix it all at once.
