BANGALORE: Bill Gates’ creation and genius, Microsoft is one of the biggest tech firms in the world. It is such a high rated company that when the new windows had released, Windows 8 it was a disappointment and they quickly had to release the windows 8.1. Well the company is going all out to release a new version once again called windows 10. This OS upgrade will be carefully reviewed and judged by the world because for a while Microsoft has been having a hard time winning the market.
So what is the latest apps or features that will be added to the new Windows? Well here is a little sneak peek.
Xbox integrated: The new windows 10 will have the celebrated games app Xbox. This app gives access to friends list, achievements and stores. There is a possibility that Xbox music maybe added to this app soon.
Cortana: This is the voice assistant computer from the game Halo. This feature is said to be one of the most anticipated features that people are waiting for in the new Windows 10. Though this will come as a separate feature, the company may integrate it with Xbox thereby shunning the use of kinect. If this integration is successful then there will be a huge difference. Microsoft is also planning on integrating all their system across the various domains like the phones, tablets and PC, and in this venture the voice assistant will be the key.
A whole new dashboard interface: This is one thing that Microsoft is consistent with, that is, the change in their dashboard interface. They always come out with colorful and very differently styled dashboards to give people a new experience with each OS release. As users, there is the wish that Microsoft removes the tiles mode for apps and instead come up with a better structure that is easy to navigate using kinects.
Virtual four screens: The new windows 10 will let users use three to four screens at a go and also help with filling additional space on the screen. This will give users smooth transitions from one screen to the other without having to minimize or cancel a page.
Other features that can be expected from the new Windows 10 are that it has better use of power controls for those who like using the keyboard. The new version also has a search bar on the startup button like Apple’s search bar. So, overall the new one is sure to be much easier and cooler to use with better features that we hope will bring Microsoft the breakthrough that they did not see with the windows 8 or 8.1, although those versions did have something new about themselves.
