LG Launched its 2016 Flagship Smartphone-LG G5 on Flipkart


BENGALURU: South Korean smartphone maker LG launched world’s first modular smartphone, LG G5 in India with a price of Rs 52,990. This phone is exclusively available on Flipkart on a pre-order basis. As reported by The Indian Express website, the company is providing the LG Cam Plus device with LG G5 for free, to the customers who pre-booked the smartphone on Flipkart.

LG G5 is featured with the metal unibody design, which is first of its type as the flagship smartphone by LG. This smartphone was unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2016 with a unique feature of slide-out battery tray that makes it different in its class. The phone battery can be popped out to attach an extra module for a camera like the LG Cam Plus and it has multiple unique quality functions. LG also designed Hi-Fi and B&O Play modules that the company calls Friends.

The smartphone is featured with 5.3-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and an always-on functionality. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It has an inbuilt memory capacity of 32GB that can be expanded up to 2TB and 4GB RAM. The G5 features two rear cameras and both cameras work independently, that is a unique function in LG’s flagship smartphones. It has a rear 16MP and an 8MP front camera and an additional 8MP rear camera is also added to take wide-angle shots. The company designed its software in such a way that both of the rear cameras will work independently.

LG build G5 with a 2800mAh battery that can be increased up to 4000mAh while adding the CAM Plus module. The phone runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with its uniquely designed user interface. LG G5 is a 4G enabled smartphone with an approximate weight of 159 grams.
