Kerala Soon To Launch a Free Call App Called 'Speakfree'


BENGALURU: The popularity of startup business in India is so intense that fresh and raw ideas are striking each and every industry in the country. After the shaking the IT sector, the startups are now all set to send turmoil to the telecom commerce, as app based calls are in making to be new trend.

As per the reports of the ET, a new start up in Kerala will soon be launching a free call app and internet connection is required only while downloading the respective app.

The app is named Speakfree, based on the android platform and would be available to download before the end of January. As reported, the users of the app can make free calls throughout the country even without accessing the internet.

Initially, free call service will be provided only in Kerala and after perceiving the response, the company will extend its services all over the country accordingly. The company is likely to launch the service in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Mumbai and Delhi.

The app is designed by the Sumbav Communications, further, the app needs to be downloaded only by caller and receiver will receive the call with or without the app. The company estimates 1 lakh app users in first stage of the development.

Sabu T Raghavan, Chief Operating Officer of the company said "Even though we are launching from Kerala, our mission is to spread Speakfree all over India."

However, the company has limited the call duration to three minutes and as testified by the company, the revenue generated by the advertisements will be used to extent the business in further stages.
